Jason Mitchler

Founder

Dr. Jason Mitchler holds a Doctor of Physical Therapy and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach. He retired from the United States Army and served as an Infantryman, Special Forces Medic (Green Beret), and Orthopedic Physical Therapist during his 30 year career.  He holds a brown belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and is a high school wrestling coach.  He has extensive experience in human performance, musculoskeletal rehabilitation, and injury prevention.  He has worked with all levels of individuals from Special Operations soldiers to sedentary patients recovering from injury.  His passion is in helping people to pursue their passions and fitness throughout their life. 
 

Sean Spanbauer

Founder

Sean Spanbauer holds a Masters Degree in Nutrition and is a Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics as well as a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist. He is no stranger to the human performance industry, having spent 11 years as a personal trainer and 15 years as a sports dietitian. In 2021, Sean retired from the U.S. Army after 25 years of service. Sean is a highly accomplished expert in the field of nutrition having worked with Special Forces soldiers, Olympic medalists, world champions, local and federal first responders, as well as active and sedentary individuals. However, his passion lies in helping people reach their full potential and function at a high level as they age.

Our Founding Story

In the blistering heat of Fort Sam Houston, Texas, two aspiring Army officers, Jason and Sean, found themselves at the Army’s Officer Basic Course. Little did they know that the bonds formed in the sweltering days of training would lay the foundation for a partnership that would extend far beyond the military.


Jason, a dedicated and compassionate physical therapist, had always been drawn to the intricacies of the human body and its potential for peak performance. Sean, on the other hand, was a passionate dietitian who believed in the power of nutrition to enhance not only physical strength but also mental acuity. Both shared a common vision of optimizing the performance of tactical athletes, recognizing that a holistic approach encompassing both physical fitness and proper nutrition was key. 

Their friendship grew organically as they found themselves in sync during common assignments during their respective Army careers. The shared passion for helping others achieve their best selves, especially within the realm of tactical fitness, became the cornerstone of their camaraderie. 

As they progressed through their Army careers, Jason and Sean often found themselves discussing ways to integrate their expertise to benefit their fellow soldiers. It became clear that their collaboration could extend beyond the military environment, offering a unique blend of human performance and nutritional guidance to a broader audience.

Their career progression soon found themselves working with elite military units, professional athletes, and public safety agencies. The success of their collaborative efforts solidified not only their professional partnership but also their enduring friendship. 

Through the years, Jason and Sean have continued to refine their methods, staying at the forefront of advancements in human performance and nutrition. This led to them to form Revival Fitness and Nutrition in order to help a larger audience achieve their personal goals and live life to the fullest.
